WHAT DIGITAL PLATFORMS ARE STUDENTS CURRENTLY USING TO DEVELOP THEIR PROFESSIONAL NETWORK?

I believe Google Drive and MS TEAMS are widely used as student developing their professional network. Google Drive is an online drive which students could share documents online with others, great platform for group work. Placing documents online not only can be sharing, but also allow students have access to them anywhere on any device. TEAMS is a more advance software for team work, it can conquer complex task with team members via office software. On the TEAMS platform, it requires collaboration from all members in a group, therefor TEAMS is a great place to develop professional network.

WHAT COULD THE STUDENT CONSIDER IN EXPANDING THEIR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING NETWORK?

There are numerous platforms for student to build their professional learning network, though not all of them are 100% useful for us. We may be confused by the variety of many kinds of websites, software or apps, yet some of them may be hard to use, difficult to understand, pay to use, or maybe full of Ads while we use it. Students should carefully choose platform for them to use, taking advice from instructor, then pick the right platform to build their professional learning network. One other important hazard student must consider is privacy. Students need to keep information and data safe while expanding professional learning network.

HOW DOES DATA PRIVACY AND SECURITY LIMIT AND/OR PROMOTE A PLN?

I think data privacy limited PLN because I am ware there are leak on personal information by third party software, I do not believe there are absolute privacy and security online. Therefore, I do not recommend anyone to place much personal information or important files online.

IN YOUR NETWORK HOW CAN YOU CREATE A DIGITAL IDENTITY/REPUTATION?

I would like to share my advantage, my profession, and my hobbits. I will also share my educational background, major, and goals. Most importantly, my personal information, but I will be really careful for what am I sharing online.
